Sunday Level Masses:
Thank you to everyone who supported the Level Masses held at Sunday Masses throughout the year. They were well supported by the children and their families. Thank you for your preparation for these Masses.
R.E. Folders:
I will be collecting your RE folders this month to make some adjustments for next year, including your planning calendar for 2013. If you can think of anything else that might be helpful to have in these folders please let me know.
Advent
Advent starts on the 2nd of December. You will need to change your prayer table cloth to purple. It would be
great to see every classroom with an Advent wreath. Please let me know if you need candles or a wreath.
An idea that many classes have used in the past year during Advent is to do a class Kris Kindle. Some grades have donated money instead of buying a gift. The money has been collected and then a present has been bought for a child who is less fortunate than we are (Safeway and Kmart both have trees with children’s names on them). The children in your grade can still have a special person to look after in their grade but instead of buying a gift for them, they can do nice deeds for them instead.
Don’t forget there are heaps of Advent and Christmas resources to help with your Religion classes. These will be kept in the staffroom. Please feel free to use them but return them as soon as you are finished with them so everybody gets to use them.
Unit Folders:
I will have your unit folders for term 1 next year ready before the end of term so you can start planning your term unit.
New Apps:
Once the internet is up working again I will download some new apps relating to Advent and Christmas: Christmas Advent Calendar, Advent Calendar, Bible Heroes: The Christmas Story and The Journey
